- What is Evie?
Evie is a relationship, finance and health advice app powered by generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the help of experts.
Evie is a personal AI assistant but with support from experts.
She’ll listen to your thoughts, your worries, your passions and suggest ways to improve.
She is friendly, secure, infinitely patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and is available 24/7.
The app is designed to help people navigate all the different areas in their life, from family to romantic, from friendships to professional, from buying and selling to handling tricky work situations, and all the nuance that comes with each.
It’s personalised and private, and aims to help people be their best selves.
Note: it is not meant to replace real-world relationships or clinical therapists. Nor is it a virtual girlfriend/boyfriend/partner. - Why Evie? Why now?
Close relationships are on the decline.
According to a PEW Research Study in 2021, we’ve seen a 25% decline in partnered adults over the past 30 years.
After almost a year of research and development, and talking to young people, we believe that meeting people where they are (on their phone) with a thoughtfully designed AI technology can be part of the loneliness cure. - How does Evie work?
Evie harnesses the power of AI to help people master the skill of social connection and provide a personalised experience to enhance their interpersonal relationships.
Note: AI works with something called ‘training data’. Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI are trained on public data, but there’s a problem when it comes to using LLMs for relationship advice: people don’t tend to publish intimate emails or text exchanges with loved ones, nor their therapy/coaching conversations.
We have been working with relationship experts and clinicians since July, to build on top of LLMs to solve the need for creating relationship training data from scratch.
A critical part of building Evie is constant evaluation of the quality of our responses. This process involves careful review to flag any instances of concern and ensure that all responses from Evie remain consistent and effective. - How Does Evie Handle Private Information?
Evie takes privacy seriously and we will never sell your information.
We are deeply committed to protecting the confidentiality of personal information, and anyone can request deletions to their information at any time.We also believe in transparency.

Keeping Evie’s sensitive messaging history safe and secure from data leaks is a top priority.
All data is secured using industry-standard techniques, and is encrypted at rest and in transit.
We limit the number of 3rd party services we use to run Evie effectively, as well as the amount of data stored with those 3rd party services.
We thoroughly vet and review all 3rd party tools we use to ensure their privacy and security practices are up to par with our strict standards.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time from within the app’s settings. Tap on the three buttons in the top right corner and select the last button in the list labelled ‘Delete Account’. - I Have More Questions…
